Just make sure you have a spare key or know how to pick the lock lol. So I removed the steering column trim, and popped out the cylinder, then put it in a vice in the shop and took the snap ring off to remove the cover. I Push it back up in the slot and the chime stops. Let me know what you find. I have a hunch that the battery is no good; the voltmeter registers okay, and HVAC fan on high; high work flawlessly. For various reasons, it'll be a good couple of weeks until I have a place to work on the truck, and seriously check it out. There's a wire going into the top of the ignition cylinder. Now with the key out and door open the chimes won't quit. It only happens when evening temperatures dip into the 30's. If that is correct then it is unlikely it is the door switch.
