It's funny, having written it, I actually think it was twice as much work for us than it would've been had we been writing a novel individually. The collaboration with Jennifer Finney Boylan worked very well and the prose flowed seamlessly. You will be absorbed from start to finish - what a fantastic read! "I guess there are different kinds of depression. It's very exciting for me. This is a story that will stay with you and hopefully lend itself to empathy and acceptance. After the tour de force that was Wish You Were Here I became immediately infatuated with Jodi Picoult!!!! While this novel could have very easily been "preachy", it was not that way at all. It was as if a lightbulb had gone on over my head. Lily feels rejected and deeply upset. Behind Ryle's veneer of civility are his jealousy and resentment. I was so invested in this story and really loved the characters!
