Helpful on arrival getting us into the marina, gave us the best spot in the house. A large CVS as well as other pharmacy/stores are within 2 blocks. We enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome. Steve who is the managing partner here, is the most trustworthy, knowledgeable, and upbeat gentleman in the marina business we have ever encountered. We enjoyed our stay at Half Moon Bay Marina. Outstanding Shop Rite supermarket is a close by walk and has absolutely anything and everything you could want in the way of food. The location is great!
There is a lovely bike/walking trail right next to the marina. Do it yourself laundry is a super close by place too, and quite convenient... Steve provides you w a google doc that is so informative with maps, directions, endless local places to check out… Nice men's and women's restrooms. Of the hundreds of marinas we have been to in the past 3 decades, this is one of our most memorable. This is an important feature not enjoyed by many marinas along the river. We've come to Half Moon Bay several times before and were always pleased with the facility and the service. Great wine and liquor stores a block from the marina, and the Croton Harmon Train station is less than a mile away - terrific for taking express trains into Grand Central as the trains leave every 25 mins Lovely and inexpensive restaurants abound all over the town which is a block or two walk from the marina. Brand new WIFI System. FYI - The entire bay and the approach for the marina is at least 3 to 4 feet deeper at low tide than any of the charts show, even the Navionics charts.
Friends took the Metro North south to visit Sleep Hollow Cemetary and the Rockefeller Estates... really don't need a rental car as you can walk to most places from here. Steve works very hard to make everyone feel welcome. There is a popular Anchorage for cruisers very close to the nice park on the peninsula, wish we had stayed there. Steve went WAY beyond great service during our stay. Very accommodating staff! A new large supermarket, Apple Farm, is only 2 short blocks away from the marina and is a great place to stock up on provisions. Dock your boat in the extremely calm, protected water of Half Moon Bay Marina, and avoid the rocking and rolling that boats docked in NYC Harbor experience due to the high-speed harbor ferries. Our stay at Half Moon Bay Marina this past weekend was fabulous. Great area for dog walking and Steve's recommendation to visit the Croton Dam was awesome. We look forward to our next visit. Clean, well maintained marina. While staying at our Hudson River marina, easily and quickly visit New York City via the Metro-North/ Amtrak station located right next to the Marina.

Steve is the best Great views All is convenient Perfect stopover up the hudson. With views that are hard to beat, our marina is a dream stop for any captain. HIghly recommend and will stay there again. The email and paper packet provided by his staff was very helpful with many things to check out with many day trip destinations and natural features and hiking to check out. Incredibly helpful and just an all around good guy. This will not be the fanciest marina you will ever stay at, but absolutely the friendliest and memorable.
Great place to linger and explore the Hudson Valley. I stayed in close touch with him about our arrival time as he requested. Great docks and slips, power, etc. We were just looking for a quick one night trip to start off the year. Wide and stable docks with full length finger piers. Steve went out of his way to be helpful to us and make sure we had a great time. Stayed here for a week in September 2020. Dockmaster Steve makes you feel like a welcomed house-guest and is an enthusiastic ambassador for the area. I've been in squall and prolonged foul weather in other marinas, and these docks are strong and protected from wave activity. Clean restrooms and nice, wide, full finger docks. Of course, you are more than welcome to stay and relax at the marina. The marina manager Steve was very helpful in getting us tied up. Sheltered with a very impressive sea wall, we are one of the only deep-water marinas on the Hudson River. This marina is a darling, peaceful, within walking distance to delicious restaurants and Croton Park. Bathrooms and shower were adequite.
I was told the add was old (2 weeks! ) We toured the town visited the Dam, took a train ride and ate some excellent food. Great stop close to good restaurant Memphis Maes. The marina is located near quite a few amenities. There is no laundry service on site, but there is a laundromat about a mile away and a laundry service that can pick up laundry. He is proud of his marina and can't do enough for you. Harbor master said that he applied the looper discount. Very nice one-night stay. As a seasonal boater of three years, I have to say that the peace of mind was everything.
