She thinks she is a successful businesswoman but it is clear that her business is hanging on by a thread.

As it stood, Fawn Burchill came across as the kind of person who could not get along with other people, so, therefore, hid behind technology. I think the new person I hired is a bit slow. His job helping San Francisco rich kids get into the colleges of their (parents') choice is exasperating; his younger boyfriend has left him; and the beloved carriage house he rents is being sold. I even suspected she was a friend of the author. Narration is horrible. However I am currently at 18% of this book and I'm not sure I'll finish it.
