At least it gave me so much fun and made me smile. It would make a fun vacation or weekend read and an appropriate and thoughtful gift for a girlfriend or your mom. I read Camille's previous book and was excited to read the ARC of This Won't End Well. The narrator, Annie, is hilarious, and as an introvert, I related to her desire to keep to herself. It was an entertaining bit of fluff, the main character's inner thoughts and outward remarks were smart and just the right level of snarky. This is in the midst of them planning a wedding. Even so, Annie can't help but wonder where the spark in their relationship is. Like Annie- her boss recently sabotaged her career (yikes! ) I recommend Ms. Pagán's books to one and all! Honesty is the best policy…except maybe when it comes to marriage in this brilliant novel about the high price of perfection from bestselling author Camille Pagán. It was Jon who had hired Mo to keep an eye on Annie while he was in Paris. I found myself barking with laughter, disturbing the toddler and her stuffed animals earning myself a stern "shushing. " I enjoyed this book and would recommend it; It is an easy, gentle read but it has a fairly obvious trajectory and a very predictable ending. They get into heavy territory, but Camille's books are FUN. You fly through the story because the writing flows nicely, the story is addicting and you're kept entertained the whole time. Scientist Annie Mercer is a little odd -- geeky and just a tad OCD, not super good at human warmth. This was supposed to be a tester of a read, just to get a taste of the author Camille Pagan and her writing. On the other hand, avoiding her emotions isn't the best option either.
