The parking lot for Grays Arch was completely full, so we drove up to the "Archaic Parking" a little ways down Tunnel Road instead of circling and waiting for a spot. It is called this because it is a very narrow tunnel with stairs you climb up to reach your final destination of the breathtaking view at the top of the arch where you can see for miles. Mrs. Bentley, one of the oldest residents of Marathon county, says the Wausau Pilot, died at her home at Schofield Saturday morning, at about 6:30 o'clock. Jan 5, Charlotte, wife of P. Rogers, aged 43 years. She was 54 years of age and heart trouble is ascribed as the cause of her demise. Lillian Gordon was born in McHenry county, Illinois, on April 21, 1854, but was brought to Almond, this county, about a year later by her parents, Mr. Allan Gordon. Deputies from the Portage County Sheriff's Office responded and found the body in the cornfield near the intersection of 15th Road and Lein Road. He appeared to improve at one time, but thereafter Slight's disease began to manifest itself, followed by bronchial pneumonia and rheumatism. These are Mrs. Petre of Minneapolis.
