With the extended rubber Hogue grips, the recoil is more straight back because your little finger is no longer tucked under the grip. S&W makes a slightly bigger, longer grip for the Airweight J Frames, but they are hard to come by. They are perfect for concealment and fill the hand nicely. These days I use a pair of CT defenders and they are very similar to the feel of wood grips when firing. So, I put a set of pink Hogues on it for her. Again, my choices may not be yours and I certainly would not argue with anyone preferring to buy the original Spegel's from which the Uncle Mike's were derived. Unfortunately, controllability suffered. Discontinued and some versions can go for $50 or so on eBay. Basically, the whole thing is a mess, and nobody's going to care about the logo in terms of valuing a gun. I may sound petty but i paid the big bucks and would like the name brand grips!!
