I love that he learns from the repetition and rhyming! Once again the clever mouse plays a trick to get out of a sticky situation. The mouse tells the owl that the gruffalo has a poisonous wart on his face and that his favorite food is owl ice cream! My 18month old absolutely loves this book and the gruffalos child he will fetch them to me to read its so cute we recommend xx.

The Gruffalo is my oldest son's favourite book, he loves me doing the different voices & even does them himself now. My little girl loves this book and its such fun to read!! Followed by screams of delighted laughter as we run round the house..! At school he was good at art, but didn't think of a career in illustration until he won a cuddly purple cow in a drawing competition. We have a Gruffalo teddy who helps mummy tell the story. My little boy loves to snuggle up and listen and equally, "read" the book to himself while he strokes the pictures!

We read it so many times that i know it by heart. Told entirely in rhyme, the book tells the story of a clever mouse walking through a forest in search of a tasty nut is beset by a series of predators, all of who want to eat him.
