Since pump is in place with gasket and sealer could i just use 7mm tap without taking everything appart? There is no set pattern on the pump bolts but you can use a simple cross pattern if you wish, just pick a bolt as a starting point. The specs I find in the '88 FSM say 7 lb-ft for all the bottom five bolts and I find nothing on the rest. Talking with Basil, there is a long and a short pump. Loctite can be your friend, use good grade new fasteners, new good split washers, the loctite make the fastener stay where you put it, just remember, don't go back and and tighten it again, because if you move a fastener with loctite on it after it has set up, you nullify it's purpose. Hap makes a good point about using the low end of the torque wrench range. The fine threads more closely match original. Those lil' 10mm don't take much. Same size smaller volute but longer 'nose' as you found. In fact I don't even own one.

Be careful, a 1/2" drive torque wrench can get you into a lot of trouble with such low torque values, beside it not even very accurate at the low in the range, in short put the torque wrench up. M8 bolts: 26 ft lbs.
