There are three stories in this book and they are all wonderful, however, I think the last story, Give a Fish a Home, is my absolute favorite. Vivacious design, winning illustrations and funny, fresh dialogue waltz harmoniously in this charming tribute to a friendship. I just read this book and now my life is 200x better. At one point, at the dramatic crescendo at the end of the third story, the art style and audience angle changes dramaticly capturing the FEELING the girls are feeling at the time. I wish my library had all of the books in the series, because I'd love to read about more of Bink and Gollie's adventures. The two balance each other perfectly, always coming back to each other and providing comfort and friendship. These books are very necessary for primary grade students as they move out of picture books into more complicated texts. Gollie likes to have occasional imaginary adventures, like the kind that finds her strapping on her crampons and climbing the snowy mountains of the Andes, Gollie lives at the top of the tree in an austere, modernist wonderland. Bink is a short, dandelion-haired girl, certainly the more sloppy and impulsive partner in this little duo.
