Each of these traits works in us to show the love of Jesus to others and make us more like Him. Remember, the Holy Spirit reminds us of what Jesus taught us. When you are put into a situation with a friend who has done something wrong to you, these are actually the natural reactions you might have. Say: The last card on our string shows some sinful attitudes and actions that come from our flesh. He will be with us forever. Remember the specific situations your children are going through. We want those to be more like Christ, and the Holy Spirit works in us to produce that kind of fruit. SAY: On your notes, write one of these fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, or peace. These are the things that make us happy and peaceful. What are the words, thoughts, and actions that show us we are growing more like Christ?
SAY: Let the Holy Spirit be your guide every day. This passage contrasts the wicked characteristics of self-centered living with the beauty of Spiritual Fruit. Invite them to share their needs and praises. If someone asks you why you believe or even attacks your reasons for believing, you have to be ready to defend your faith in a gentle and respectful way.
