I think the author did a really good job at describing both sides of how cancer affects loved ones. It is also a great illustration of why friends should never go into business together. I highly recommend you read Sweet Waters such a touching and moving story. Matthew knows he is dying from cancer but does not want to die alone. They both put down limits on their marriage so no one will end up hurt. When everything if forced out in the open, Will Olivia and Hudson realize that they should be together, even with all of the crazy miscommunications and heartbreak they have given each other over the years? The working title for this book is "The Letter Carrier, " and Laurie hopes to release it by January 2022. But Mikaela gave him hope and built up his faith that what they have and what they believe would give them a miracle. Her gentleness yet tenacity were just what Matthew needed during his battle with cancer. Olivia will need to stay until she is fully recovered and then attend physical therapy and counselling sessions locally.
Sweet Water grabbed my emotions from the first page and never let go until the ending. This was never the way they meant things to happen, Olivia is miserable and wants to settle down and start her family but Jeff is too busy chasing his dreams to settle down. For the first half of this, I thought I was in for a second-chance love story with mildly wooden characters who would eventually get to the heart of their past miscommunication.
