We had 7 in our group with 4 rooms and felt like we were just an inconvience. The lodgings were outstanding and there was great attention to detail. Many of the details from when this home was built in 1912 have been lovingly crafted into its current splendor. This B&B was the best decorated B&B we stayed at on our trip. Historic circa 1914 schoolhouse is now a luxurious ten room bed and breakfast inn located in historic Rocheport, Missouri only 2 blocks from the scenic Katy Trail and one mile from the Les Bourgeois Winery and Bistro. Originally a schoolhouse, this building was converted to a bed and breakfast (or B & B as we like to call it) 20 years ago and serves as the perfect starting point for your relaxing Rocheport, Missouri retreat. I THINK they meant to say "they did not seem very enthusiastic" and "We thoroughly enjoyed this B&B" but that still seems more than a little contradictory.

You'll be dancing the continental, when you hear about School House Bed and Breakfast Inn's free breakfast. Breakfast both mornings was generous and beyond delicious and fueled us for the entire day on the trail.
They offer a great pleasant experience at a nice range of options, levels and rates. Dates/Seasons Open: Not listed. Les Bourgeois Vineyard & Winery. Beautifully restored historic building. We didn't stay in Rocheport this time, but had a great lunch at the winery.

As we typically do not know a cycling group's agenda/schedule until they check-in, if they indicate that 9 am will not work for them during our guest orientation, that's when we offer to serve them an earlier breakfast with the time dependent on the group's consensus about when they plan to depart the next morning. You'll love waking up to a 3-course, made from scratch breakfast before cruising the Katy Trail on one of our traditional or electric bike rentals! This B&B is immaculate and thinks of everything in terms of conveniences and nice touches. That was wonderful given we were on a multi-day trip doing the Katy from Machin to Clinton and back. We are located only minutes from Sedalia, Whiteman Airforce Base, and the Katy Trail. Complete with Nigerian Dwarf goats, miniature donkeys, cows, chickens and more. The school house was an exceptionally nice and clean place to stay next to the Katy Trail. This Trip Advisor Hall of Fame property offers flickering fireplaces, private hot tubs, en suite jetted tubs and/or amazing HUGE showers, plus luxury linens on your king size bed. The School House appears to be a prosperous business so I'll go out on a limb here and assume whatever they are selling is good stuff. It was very quite and private down there. Perfect for those riders who have ridden all day and need a place to relax and rejuvenate in the evening. Free drinks, and more! There is a guest refrigerator where you can freeze your water bottles for the next day (fill them up 1/2 way and freeze them, then top it off w/ water the next day). We serve a full gourmet breakfast each morning for your enjoyment on your private patio when the weather permits.... Rocheport, Missouri. We biked the entire trail west-to-east, so Rocheport came at the end of day two. It and Rocheport would make for a. wonderful couples get away all by themselves. I decided last minute to take a long anticipated trip to ride the Katy Trail.
