I usually don't like full English blends although there are a few that really hit the spot once in awhile and I can see this one sharing that trait. One of my favorite English blends. It taste nearly none or mighty when I lighting it. The flavor of said leaf is always pleasantly present and seems to carry the mixture along through a grand adventure of smoky Latakia, and spicy Oriental flavors.
However, for me right now I found that my tolerance for Latakia is much lower than I had thought it to be. Being a member of a very high Episcopal church, the aroma is reminiscent of church incense. Even in tin form, I'll take the first few bowls, and you can have the rest. My local tobacconist gave me a small sample of Penzance, urging me to try it. I think it best enjoyed outdoors and dedicate at least an hour to smoke a bowl to savor all the goodness. There is mellowness and refinement here with some complexity waiting just below the surface.
