I didn't buy it then and I don't buy it now, but unfourtunatly my dad did. The breather hose on 22re's normally has manifold vacuum but on 22r's it connected to the air filter housing. Say you have a PCV valve that can flow 4 cfm max. The carburetor is designed to ussume the 4 cfm from the PCV in the idle cfm air flow strategy.
