When I finally realized what this story is about towards the end, and I realized there wouldn't be any mind blowing plot twists, I was really disappointed. Police arrive at the cabin and Lila says that Jared killed all the women and framed Aaron for it. Leaving Jamie heartbroken again. All the clues were there but it was like a jigsaw puzzle. I didn't really enjoy these characters but what i was most interested in was rosalie and the horsemen and the funeral they kept referring too… FOX DEAD?!?? And then…, I get it!!!!
We find out quite a bit of what the Horsemen have been up to and get tantalising snippets from their lives at Mayfair University, definitely can't wait to read that book later in the year. This book is nothing. This one has a slow burn going into it. Yup, the always popular standby of my-ex-wife-is-crazy-and-obsessive-and-forgets-to-do-stuff-because-her-mother-is-mentally-ill-ploy is being used here, the third (or fourth) time I've read in a novel, so far, this year, that I can remember. Unfortunately, I wasn't struck with amazement. I was a little at first as I was wondering what all that happened to Rosalie and the guys and why they were not together. You also watched them grow into their relationship and realise that they are meant for each other. Read Little Wife, How Dare You Say Break Up. They love to ask personal questions, like where she's from. This was a fun and entertaining read, but in the end it wasn't the right book for me.
Maybe I should call a friend and just forget about this dumb story. Then she learns that her ex-husband plans to marry again and this is where the book starts. What is it about Richard? Was it the fear of retribution from a horrendous haunting situation that occured in her senior year of college?

In this case, the story could have ended quite satisfactorily without that final revelation, but I suppose, since it was a complete shock to me, I must grudgingly concede my approval for sneaking that one by me completely undetected. If I read it alone I wouldn't like it, but it was a buddy read and Aqsa helped me to understand the plot. The tension and chemistry were off the charts! I won't write the name cause I don't want to give it away but I loved how his character evolved through the books as he grappled with his feelings for both Spencer and Jamie. The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks. I just love how interconnected K. Reuss's books are and like always I could not put it down. If you think The Wife Between Us is a story about a jilted wife jealous of her husband's new fiancée, you're not quite right. What could possibly go wrong with perfection? It was worth every "WTF" moment.
You are not held responsible for the atrocious deeds you will later commit because you are not to blame. Unlike in Gone Girl, however, the language didn't slay me; it was pretty pedestrian. A fantastic, mind-bending thriller dealing with… marriage, divorce and the other woman (not necessarily in that order! This book is receiving tons of great reviews, and many of my Goodreads friends absolutely love it.
She also walks a tightrope there with impending dismissal looming because of her constant days off. This book attempts to make a 'plot twist' at the end of part one, which is around the 150 page mark, but it doesn't really change anything in the story. More: Li Chengxiu tasted the bitterness of life at a young age and longed to be loved. What if he killed more women in the meantime? Should I abandon this book? "I entered the marriage with nothing. You'll also love the other character that makes their throuple but I'm not going to spoil that for you. Love the spice in this book, especially the interaction between Colton and Spencer, so excited for the second book. I freaking love Jamie and I love had story, but all these little hints about Rosie and her Horsemen have my blood pressure skyrocketing and my anxiety on overload!! It's not a great plot twist, and I was expecting more from the next two parts. Did we ever find out how Lila killed Aaron? Their connection is undeniable, yet the professor will not accept who he is.
This book is being brought to the big screen. For now, I just want to encourage all you influential readers to try and get your hands on a copy of THE WIFE BETWEEN US. Plus, the whole subplot with Maggie and Jason was boring and took up too much page time. Thank You St. Martin's Press, Netgalley, Greer Hendricks, and Sarah Pekkhanen. Spencer has returned to Jamie's uni on a basketball scholarship and looking to rekindle his romance with Jamie. This is yet another fantastic book from KG Reuss, love her vivid imagination. I loved this story though and I'm so glad Jamie got her own book. Because this had to have taken pretty rigorous plotting and outlining for all the twists and reveals to land***, so it's damn ambitious, but it goes down like pudding. The only thing I wanted to do was: I have to acknowledge some positive aspects of the novel. You may also see some cameos from our favorite Black Falls High and Rayton U. characters, with several breadcrumbs for the upcoming Mayfair U. duet (follow up to Black Falls High) and Kings of Bolton). And good girls don't play with bad boys. Spencer made the move to be closer to Jamie because he wants her back. I am out going to say much more but always gets me.
I loved getting to know Jamie and Spencer better after seeing them as side characters in Black Falls High and I did feel for Jamie after what she's been through and the way it affected her/her relationships. What are Richard's motives? Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. The chapters are very short, so it is a fast paced read. Then you have Jamie who has always been a bit timid and shy, very quiet, and just kind of wants to fade into the background.
