It just is... (Beat. ) I liked the play, and may read the other two plays in his trilogy. Just right there, my boyfriend, who's over at the grill and laughing and making burgers for all of us... and he was, too. Greg's best buddy, Kent, and Kent's wife, Carly, also enter into the picture, and the emotional equation becomes exponentially more complicated. There's no intellectual grandstanding, just people trying to get by, and trying to be happy with what they have, and their issues and concerns are no less important than the sort of upper middle class Woody Allen type romances that seem to dominate the genre.
