I won't dive into the remaining plot details, because it's better to discover all the twists and turns for yourself, but I will say that I was impressed with how author Elle Cosimano tied up the threads of this seemingly impossible scenario Finlay finds herself in. Soon, Finlay discovers that crime in real life is a lot more difficult than its fictional counterpart, as she becomes tangled in a real-life murder investigation.
But when her best friend, Summer, invites her on a glamorous getaway to the Mediterranean aboard her billionaire boyfriend's yacht, the only sensible answer is yes. And it would still be a miracle to me i didn't even crack a smile. During this time, Julian goes on spring break and Finlay doesn't hear from him. I tend to avoid series, but I am so happy that Finlay Donovan Is Killing It is the first in a new series. They meet at Panera, where an unhappily married woman overhears their discussion and mistakes Finn for a contract killer.
This eavesdropping lady just happens to have a husband she would like to get rid of, so she slides a note under Finlay's plate as she bids goodbye to Sylvia, making her an offer she is tempted to consider because the novel isn't the only thing that is late-all of her bills are overdue too! Great work and Angela was the best choice for this story, she's wonderful! I recommend Finlay Donovan is Killing It for Fans of: Comic mysteries by authors like Carl Hiaasen and Janet Evanocich. Is this some common practice and I just didn't get the mom memo on it? Together with her husband Luke and his brother Logan, Jackie is up against wacky tenants, crazed landlords, and secrets worth killing for. Finlay is stunned, but as the woman whisks away, she begins to consider her options. Finlay makes a few choices early that you just have to accept in order to get into the story.
