All 3 cabins had a great cabin vibe, with wood paneled walls, vaulted ceilings, picture windows, and generous decks overlooking the grounds. This property was perfect for a long weekend with all three generations of our family. It was nice not having to worry about setting anything up. They were extremely helpful in planning our three day weekend with golf course recommendations and even a bourbon and cigar night. They had all the amenities. The groom wanted it and he got it. No... I must say at first I was a liitle scared of running into a bear LOL, but we had an amazing time. Not only was Chateau huge but it was very well kept, great for me and my girls who are all OCD! They helped at every aspect from start to finish. We walked on the River walk, went into town and just spent some quality time in front of the wood burning fire! Mountain Laurel Golf Course is basically right across the river which was super convenient for getting out on the course. This was the family gift from our mom. When we arrived the cabin was in absolutely perfect condition and super clean. The cabin was clean and all the pictures were accurate. The beds were clean, bathroom had everything that you would to use, kitchen the same. And weekly "office hours" where you can ask Kalli all your burning questions. Booked the River Dance cabin. We could not have asked for a better weekend to spend at Valhalla for a co-bachelor party. Every time I talked to Lance and Lisa they offered more and more suggestions to make our time more enjoyable and easy. There's a big backyard that's perfect for tossing the football and playing a variety of lawn games. And it was close to a state park where we were able to go hiking. With small children, we were very happy that there was a washer and dryer in the cabin and made use of them more than once. The stores were about a mile away from the cabin which was convenient. We settled on Marmaduke. We played pool, poker and many other games all weekend!
The hosts communicated very well and provided detailed instructions for our stay. My buddy and I reserved the cabin for my friend's bachelor party. Looking to make this a yearly event and will continue to use Poconos Log Cabin Rentals!! They referred us to a number of other companies that they have worked with in the past for the bachelor party to do various activities.
