Take out the distributor and use a socket and an electric drill to drive the oil pump shaft. When you installed - did it slip right in or did you fight it - PLEASE dont say you used the bolts to crank it in the last 1/2" or so. Oil in the cyclinders and let it sit. If the rear main seal is making it "very" tight; that should not happen either. When its installed in the bad position the bearing pinches the radius on the crank journal causing it to be hard to rotate. Fresh rebuild REALLY slow cranking. I've been avoiding doing anything major because my fingers freeze up after a few minutes. If you are going to do this, I would suggest third gear.
