What do you think about white Schnauzers? It is interesting to point out that black & silver Miniature Schnauzers were originally thought to be salt & pepper variety and therefore accepted right away. He is pepper/salt, black and silvers are not rare though-not sure how you came to the conclusion they were but they are about and there are a fair few established good breeders of the colour, they are very beautiful and eye catrching and i think alot of pet breeders try and sell puppies as b/s as they feel they are made more appealing that way! If people did a little research, they would find out that in just about every breed of dog that has merle coat colors, breeding Merle to Merle is a MAJOR no-no. They usually fade out to look more white, at a young age.
