Often, when we read the Bible, we make it our aim to read as much of it as possible in one sitting. But that is not the end. Jesus touched this leper and delivered him from a life that was doomed. Jesus was not willing to bypass the suffering man. You might even say she touched him with her heart since we believe with our hearts (Romans 10:9). First make things right with your brother or sister and then come back and offer your gift. We can easily understand upon the people hearing of the powerful and compassionate touch of Jesus and the results there of that the people began to seek Him out so that they may touch Him. I love that scripture. As soon as Jesus touched the man, he was instantly made clean. Jesus' healing touch flowing from one person to another. I want to be seen, recognized. Thank God for that but it wasn't the primary point. That's the power of touch.
God's power is at work in you to give you strength and abilities. Real hands are involved and real spit. The divine touch happens every time we reach out to another with kindness and compassion, when we offer hospitality and welcome, when we forgive. He spent his time in the library reading and I said, "I like that guy. His touch of restoration power had the ability to heal his deformed, sore, and shriveled body. That kind of distant relationship with God is a Christianized version of religion that substitutes outward forms for inward experience. Could it be because so few of us go outdoors to play and interact with others in social settings? It's not how LONG you pray or how MUCH you pray, but how much you BELIEVE! Years ago I heard a lecture from a physician who described his ritual of touching patients during his examination – pulling down the eyelids, looking at the tongue, percussing the chest, feeling the abdomen, listening to the heart. I do so on a regular basis. When you are using the Word to fellowship with God, your heart is seeking to relate directly to Him. And who does He heal? When His presence becomes more real to you than your sickness, you will be healed. His touch is intimate, powerful and transforming.
I'm usually the one that drives when my wife, Cyndy, and I go somewhere. Touch can be of the physical outer type or of the inner spiritual type as one's inner self is prompt to change by the power of having our inner person touched in the sense of moved. I'm in favor of all those things and they can be a great blessing. The babies were cut off from human contact as much as possible.

None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord, ' for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. Mark 6:56 NIV) And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. Jesus took action because He cared. What do you need to get back in touch with? Prayer is not only CHEAPER than medicine, but it is SURER too! You will have sensed His very presence breaking out like a sweet aroma in your heart. The divine touch is felt every time we offer another love, hope, encouragement, affirmation. So how does one receive or minister healing power?
Mark is telling the story of the incarnation. Jesus touched people many times to heal them. Rather than being repulsed or insulted at the man's condition, Jesus had compassion. Jesus' restoration power was able to touch every area of the man's life. Focus instead upon the Lord Himself.
Jeremiah 32:37) Jesus said, "If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you can ask what you will and it shall be done unto you! " Every time Jesus reaches out with this divine touch, regardless of where or how it happens, regardless of who it happens to, the divine touch is about opening hearts. I don't know what that might accomplish but I know this.
