This is by far the best condition example of the Enfield sword bayonet we have ever seen, one of the few found with a decent scabbard and the only one with the original frog. Collectors really need a good reference book on these sword bayonets, especially those used in the Civil War. A must have book for the novice or experienced collector. A rare prize for the advanced collector of U. martial edged weapons, or Ames products. This resulted in bent barrels and other problems.
