Beautifully Written. The Dark Ascension Series, Book 1. The girl's memories are wiped and they grow up with no knowledge that they even have a sister. The big difference here is that after the icy accident while young Anna and Elsa play, Grand Pabbie realizes that Anna's heart is at risk of freezing if she remains close to Elsa. She wants to be the first woman to summit Mount Rainier. Additionally, there's loads of good humor and fantastic side characters as well. Though I will say that the book's extreme similarity to the movie just further validates my criticism of the film—the fact that Anna and Elsa's relationship ultimately feels no different here than it does in the movie, despite the fact that they have literally been erased from each other's minds shows how flimsy and bogus their bond was to begin with.
