To measure a metric thread size, you can take a high precision steel ruler and measure how many thread there would be in one inch. Are all o2 sensors the same thread size for 2008. The only issue is they are for a 2014, so the O2 sensors are the smaller 12mm. You should beable screw the sensor right in though, they will clean the threads as they go in. I plugged the new Bosch #15330 into both plugs, just to make sure in case I needed. I think that came from the cartoon side of my brain. I want to drill and tap the bung holes for the larger size, but I'm not certain on thread pitch. Well thanks to the Op for tarting this thread, changed my O2's today and stripped the threads right out of each one, now i know what size tap to get tomorrow from work (machine shop), I'll take a look for you see if we got a die also (don't do a lot of die work). Once you have the old sensor removed simply thread the tool in to chase and clean the threads to ease installation and ensure proper sealing of the new oxygen sensor.
