Amenities are great. Few could have imagined that a chain of events started in the empire they'd left behind would soon propel them into a life of imprisonment and forced labour in this frigid camp. Three wineries within 20 minute drive, more just a little farther. We were hoping there might be some more toys there for kids (always a bonus) but there weren't many. When they finished the day's hard labour they slept in rudimentary bunkhouses, ate bland and nutritionally deficient meals, and tried to pass the time. So much room, no one was in anyone else's space! The community is known for its beach vibes and has a total of 6 public beach access points. Lots of local information in house plus books, games, craft supplies, dvds. Lots of games and toys for kids.
Delightfully decorated, very comfortably furnished and only a couple minutes walk to the closest beach and a few minutes more to others. Lots of room to spread out. If there becomes an opportunity to create new provincial parks, there are a number of potential candidate areas that deserve to be protected. Will stay again for sure! The beds are plush and cozy, the kitchen has all the utensils and equipment you'll need, and the relaxing sauna even comes with robes for your convenience.
