Food Truck Festivals. It was a hot day in San Juan, though, and a stop at a local brewery helped cool things down. Oh, and can you believe we met some former students? Memories Made and Lost. We volunteered at the Kennesaw Beer and Wine Fest, dispensing brews from the Red Hare taps and then sampling all sorts of local and regional craft beer. Great beer and local festivities! We can't be happier that our friends at Southern Sky Brewery is finally putting their products out at beer festivals and even more exciting was we got to FINALLY try the Schwarzchild Porter. Beer-wise I particularly liked the Hive-A-Weizen and my brother Jeff loved their Daufauskie Rum barrel-aged ale. Thank goodness we had a few other folks at our station helping out. Our motorhome has taken us around the country, as you can see, and we have such great memories of the state and national parks, wildlife encounters, and yes – the breweries that we found along the way. Once again we are deer-parents. We tried a musical trivia night (Singo) at Truck 'N Tap in Woodstock with Terri and Barb (they are masters at this! )
It's a little bitterer than some of the other ones but it still is smooth and malty, but very drinkable. The city of Acworth is beautiful and a great place to hold a beer fest! We really did have a fun afternoon, despite the rain (which actually helped by knocking down the numerous, pesky yellow jackets flying around).

A Night at Southern Sky Brewing. They just keep getting better with their classic rock. Good choice for a visit. A one and a half barrel system will make such beers as a a Baltic porter, pale ale, IPA and rotating seasonals.
